It’s been three weeks since the Iowa House passed a 1-year moratorium on the use of eminent domain for the dangerous carbon pipelines proposed for Iowa. Despite more than 1,700 Iowans demanding action from the legislature this session, the Senate and Governor Reynolds have remained silent.
**With 80% of Iowa registered voters opposed to the use of eminent domain in building these pipelines, we need to show Governor Reynolds and the Senate’s Republican leadership that this inaction has consequences.**
Join Food & Water Watch and a number of other pipeline-fighting groups at the Iowa Capitol this Tuesday, April 19 at 1 p.m. to remind our elected officials that their inaction has consequences, and the movement to stop these pipelines isn’t going away.
