Today, Food & Water Watch announced its endorsement of California’s Election Rigging Response Act (Proposition 50) – the state’s response to Trump’s Texas powergrab. 

Food & Water Watch California Director Nicole Ghio released the following statement: 

“California did not back Trump’s MAGA agenda in 2016, 2020 or 2024, and we will not stand by while he attempts to consolidate power in 2025. Trump’s draconian policies only serve the billionaire class, while the rest of us pay the price of his cruel efforts to roll back our environmental protections and the food security benefits that millions of people rely on. California is in a position to thwart Trump’s Texas power grab, and we must stand strong in the face of his authoritarianism.”
