On September 30, Food & Water Watch hosted our virtual conference with two tracks of education sessions and trainings to build your skills as an activist. You can access the recordings to learn how we’re fighting for safe food, clean water and a livable climate – and how you can be part of it!

Amy Goodman
Amy Goodman is the host & executive producer of Democracy Now!, an award-winning news program airing on over 1,500 public television and radio stations worldwide. She is a broadcast journalist, syndicated columnist, investigative reporter, and author. Amy was the Gold Medal recipient of the United Nations Correspondents Association’s Global Prize for Climate Change Coverage. Through her reporting, Amy holds corporations and the government accountable.

Wenonah Hauter
Wenonah Hauter is the founder and executive director of Food & Water Watch and Food & Water Action Fund. Wenonah has three decades of experience campaigning and writing on food, water, energy and environmental issues. She has trained and mentored hundreds of organizers and activists across the country and worked at the national, state and local levels to develop policy positions and legislative and field strategies to secure real wins for communities and the environment.

The conference will feature two tracks of sessions for you to choose from throughout the event. Track 1 will feature informational sessions on pressing issues, including the latest developments with key legislation like the WATER Act and Farm System Reform Act, new research on fossil fuels, and why environmental justice is at the root of our work. Track 2 offers training and skill-building sessions to empower you to take action. Learn how to use your story to inspire change, hold an effective meeting with an elected official or how to amplify the cause on social media.
