We need Ayala to co-sponsor Intro 1180 to close the “Landlord Loophole” that enables landlords to buy their way out of making energy upgrades like replacing old boilers with heat pumps. We currently have 18 co-sponsors, and Ayala would be a very welcome addition.
This is one of the most important climate laws in the nation, and it’s a climate model for all major cities around the world. We’ve all seen the climate change-fueled flash floods and wildfires happening; we can’t keep kicking the can down the road for future generations to deal with it. The time to act is now!
