CA: Canvass to Protect Our Drinking Water in Camarillo

Published Apr 14, 2022

Ventura County residents won big in 2020 when the county’s Board of Supervisors voted to close a loophole that has allowed oil companies to drill through water aquifers without environmental review. So many oil wells in the county have been drilled under this reckless loophole!

_But now Big Oil is trying to undo our progress._

Corporations, like Aera Energy, have spent $6.5 million, hired out-of-county petitioners to gather tens of thousands of signatures, and put a referendum measure on the Ventura County ballot this June that could put our drinking water at risk.

We need your support to fight for safe water in Ventura County!
