Mitch Jones is the Managing Director of Advocacy Programs and Policy. He leads the organization’s work on federal and state policy as well as the organization’s political program. Since 2008, Mitch has held several positions at Food & Water Watch, including the Climate & Energy Program Director, the Director of the Common Resources Program, and the Director of the Fish. Mitch also worked as the Senior Legislative and Policy Analyst for the Water program. Prior to joining Food & Water Watch, he worked at the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, focusing on issues related to food safety and renewable fuel policy. He holds a B.A. in history and philosophy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a M.A.L.A. from St. John’s College, Santa Fe, and is ABD in philosophy at The Catholic University of America. Mitch lives in Baltimore.
