From the Ohio River to Lake Erie, our natural resources are under threat
Year after year, the legislature and Governor’s office have worked with the oil and gas industry to pass regulations full of loopholes. But Food & Water Watch is fighting back by working with our members in Ohio to stop fossil fuels, protect our water, and stand up for our democratic right to protest.
We are also working with many groups to defend the Ohio River from the rollback of critical water pollution controls, and have supported local allies in the fight to stop fracking in Wayne National Forest. We will also continue to fight back against state bills that would limit citizens’ right to protest and allow radioactive fracking waste to be made into road de-icer.
We need to act on climate change now, and urge Ohio’s congressional representatives to sign onto real Green New Deal legislation that assures moving off fossil fuels by 2035. Join us in fighting for a livable climate and clean air and water and tell Ohio’s federal representatives to sign onto real climate solutions!
