Statement from Wenonah Hauter, Executive Director, Food & Water Watch
Washington, D.C. – “Today’s decision by a California jury shows that there’s more than enough evidence that Roundup is an environmental and public health nightmare. But rather than act on this body of evidence, the EPA continues to side with the chemical industry and recently announced it will continue to allow glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup, to be sold. It’s time to ban this dangerous herbicide.”
Food & Water Watch mobilizes regular people to build political power to move bold and uncompromised solutions to the most pressing food, water, and climate problems of our time. We work to protect people’s health, communities, and democracy from the growing destructive power of the most powerful economic interests.
