Dear Governor Brown
Please watch and share these videos with your friends and family, and take action to tell Governor Brown to ban fracking now.
Ventura County
Residents of Ventura County are in a constant battle to stop the expansion of oil and gas drilling and fracking. In addition, fracking waste fluid from outside the county is trucked in from neighboring counties; spills and accidents at the facilities that manage the toxic fluid has compromised local water.
Los Angeles County
Geneva Morgan shares what life is really like next to the Inglewood Oil field, the nation’s largest urban oil field located in the heart of Los Angeles County. The Citizens Coalition for a Safe Community has been working to expose and fight the severe impacts, including toxic air emissions, that the oil field routinely imposes on local residents.
Santa Barbara County
In Santa Barbara county, oil companies want to drill 7,700 new wells, activity that would drastically increase the community’s pollution, greenhouse gas emissions and water consumption. Concerned residents are fighting back.
San Benito County
Oil companies have their sights set on new drilling operations in San Benito county, a peaceful and beautiful area that is home to many organic farms and Pinnacles National Park. The Coalition to Protect San Benito is working hard to protect their county, and has placed “Measure J” on the ballot to ban fracking and other extreme oil extraction techniques.
