Leah Ford is a researcher at Food & Water Watch. She is dedicated to researching ways in which our environment affects human health, with a focus on environmental justice and community-driven sustainable policy solutions.
Previously as a WomenNC fellow, Leah conducted her own research on women in North Carolina, the environment, and how it affects their health which she presented at the UN’s annual Commission on the Status of Women in March 2016. Most recently she was a policy consultant for a small community development organization located in rural North Carolina called Swey. Leah graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she studied Public Policy, Global Studies, and Women and Gender Studies. She can be reached at lford(at)fwwatch.org.
