Katy Kiefer is the Activist Network Manager at Food & Water Watch. She works with students and volunteers across the country to build local power, calling on decision makers to protect everyone’s right to safe, healthy food and clean water. Katy provides volunteers with training and resources, and coordinates national actions on key issues such as fighting fracking, labeling GMOs, and banning the overuse of antibiotics on factory farms. Prior to joining the Food & Water Watch team, Katy completed the Green Corps program for environmental organizing and advocacy, and then worked with Green Corps as a Lead Organizer. She graduated from Saint Joseph’s University with a B.S. in environmental science and a minor in faith-justice studies. She can be reached at kkiefer(at)fwwatch.org.
