Daniel Helfman is the Director of Creative Strategy & Engagement (CSE) for Food & Water Watch. The CSE team includes digital communications, graphics, social media, and brand development.
Helfman's career weaves together three concepts -- marketing/media, social impact, and growth. He has worked for consumer groups, media orgs (NBC News), social venture businesses (namely The Greyston Bakery + Foundation in Yonkers NY) as well as national restaurant brands which believe in healthy food (Snap Kitchen, Jason's Deli). At Jason’s & Snap Kitchen, Daniel oversaw marketing, advertising, and branding helping both companies experience tremendous growth.
Helfman received his MPA from NYU’s Wagner School for Public Service in 1999. Today he lives in Austin, TX with his wife, Stephanie, and their two children, Ben and Olivia. He can be reached at dhelfman(at)fwwatch.org.
