Urge your representative to support the Water Protection and Reinvestment Trust Fund

You already know that your tap water is among the safest and most reliable in the world . . . but you are also aware our water systems here in the U.S. face major challenges.

In fact, anyone paying attention to the news about our water systems knows that only significant re-investments in infrastructure will safe guard our water resources.

Write a letter to your representative demanding proper funding to upgrade our water systems so you can continue to trust the water that comes from your tap.

The Water Protection and Reinvestment Act,introduced in the summer of 2009 by Rep. Blumenauer, was written precisely because of the need to modernize our aging water systems.

Though systems all over the U.S. are facing difficulties, folks from smaller communities have been bearing the heaviest brunt from yearly decreases in federal funding, thus hampering the essential upgrades needed in these systems.

Urge your representative to create a permanent and dedicated source of funding for water infrastructure. Doing so will ensure safe, reliable, locally-controlled water while rendering the sham of bottled water obsolete.
