ALERT: Support Bolivia's Campaign for Water Rights!

Tell Suez CEO to respect El Alto / La Paz water rights!

The Suez Corporation denied access to potable water for 200,000 Bolivians. When the government terminated the private contract, the company threatened with lawsuits.

Despite a recent independent audit showing that Suez owes the government of Bolivia approximately US$6 million in unpaid fines and fees, the global water corporation is demanding compensation for its own botched operations.

The audit showed that while Suez returned $1.6 billion in dividends to its shareholders in 2005, the corporation:

  • denied people access to potable water services,
  • refused to upgrade or maintain water service, and
  • did not comply with water quality standards.

However, Suez has threatened to take its case to the World Bank's secret court. Support the Bolivian campaign for water justice by taking action here. Thank you!

Click here to send an email to Antoine Kuhn, the company's general director, reminding him that the Bolivian people don't owe Suez a cent!
