Food & Water Watch Joins Activists to Raise Awareness of, Find Solutions for, San Francisco Water Issues

San Francisco, CA. Californians face considerable challenges with regard to their water resources. The State‚ government actively promotes a pro-privatization agenda; funding for public water improvement projects stands at an all-time low; and multi-national corporations bottle our water for profit, taking it from communities that need it.

These issues and more will be discussed on Sunday, June 1 when Food & Water Watch‚ Adam Scow speaks at the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee Environmental Justice Working Group‚ Water Fair. Scow, an organizer for Food & Water Watch‚ Water For All Campaign will address bottled water, water privatization and other water-related issues facing San Francisco. The Water Fair will bring together experts and community members to explore the complex, interconnected issues concerning the area‚, and the world‚, growing water crisis and provide concrete steps to address them.
