Stop ocean factory fish farms from threatening our oceans!

Factory farms on land are bad for our health, our communities, and the environment. What many people don’t know is that right now there are threats to create and expand factory farms in our oceans. Thankfully, we’ve got a great chance to stop them.

Senator Vitter from Louisiana just introduced a bill that would stop any development of factory fish farms in our ocean for about three and a half years and require our government to collect and review information about impacts on the environment, fishermen and coastal communities from factory fish farms around the world. It’s called the Research and Aquaculture Opportunity and Responsibility Act.

Can you ask your senator to stop ocean factory fish farms from threatening our oceans?
